Community Coffee Sending Free Coffee Overseas

Community Coffee, one of the largest family-owned coffee retailers in the United States, is interested in sending coffee to American troops serving overseas.

Through Community Coffee's Military Match Gift Boxes offer, you buy 4 bags of 16 or 13oz coffee, and Community Coffee matches those four bags for free. Community Coffee will then send those free bags of coffee to troops overseas.

By the way, I really got a kick out of one of the reviews for the Folgers Gourmet:

"Moose" in Clearwater, FL, a professed Coffee Connoisseur writes that Folgers Gourmet isn't bitter, has an "attractive mouth/body feel," and is an all-around "pleasing roast." I'm going to take Moose's word for it; frankly, Moose's description of Folgers gourmet was so carefully thought through--erotic even--he must be right.

REBATE ALERT: Free Seatle's Best

Seattle's Best is giving away 12oz. bags of coffee, as long as you can fill out a one page rebate form. Want free coffee? Then fill out the form and drop $0.44 on a stamp.

IMPORTANT: There's one catch--you can't buy that 12oz. bag at a Seattle's Best cafe. Try your local Safeway, which carries Seattle's Best and is offering a free delivery when you sign up for home grocery delivery (an incredible service because it saves time and I can eliminate impulse buys).

The Best Part Of Waking Up...

...Is decent coffee in my cup.

I really don't like drinking poor coffee. I keep my coffee pot clean, I don't use stale coffee, and I never, ever touch the stuff sitting in the community coffee pot at work. I also don't always buy the cheapest grinds out there (unless it's a great deal for something I like), because I like my coffee to have that mocha aroma rather than a hint of dumpster stank.

Rarely is coffee on sale at the grocery store. Sometimes I get a coupon, but I hardly save enough when I do find them.

Paying for a cup at Starbucks or any other cafe doesn't make sense if you have your own mug and a brewing machine. I understand why some people do, though. It's convenient. And if you need your coffee fancy, Starbucks is probably half a minute's walk from wherever you could possibly be.

So I plan on posting deals for all types of coffee drinkers; that is to say, there will be deals for the hardcore wallet-watchers, but also deals for the K-Kup Kronies, the Espresso Enthusiasts, even for the ever-returning Starbucks junkies. If I find a deal, it's getting posted. The deals will probably be limited to online-only, however. So I hope you can get comfortable with the hassle of having coffee delivered right to your door.

Coffee Is Expensive!

It's true! Everyone is complaining about the rising cost of gas, but rarely do I hear anyone complain about how much it costs to drink our daily life-juice!

I intend to help myself and others find better deals on coffee. I don't like being gouged at the grocery store for beans to run hot water through, and I'm guessing you don't like being gouged either.

As I find good deals, I'll post them here with links. If you find a deal yourself, send it to me and, if it passes inspection, I'll post it. Don't send a link to something you wouldn't buy though--it won't get past my ubercaffeinated attention. Unless I'm taking a cold shower because I'm sweating through my shirt. Or the twitching won't let me hold my cup-a-joe, much less type.

OK! Let's get this experiment started!
